To my fellow partners and doctors,

I wanted to share my excitement and appreciation as I just finished teaching the second official “Mastering CEREC: Hands on training for same day restorations.” The most recent class was taught by myself (Rich Rosenblatt) and Michael Snider. The first course I taught with Jack Fiedler. Many may not know, but I have been teaching CEREC to the masses for 18 years as of today.  CEREC has been my passion in the dental world for 22 years.  I got my first opportunity to teach CEREC from our Chief Dental Officer Sameer Puri at the 2007 townie meeting when he created the first ever CEREC track for that meeting. I went on to become faculty at cdocs.com (was cerecdoctors.com back then) in 2008. My niche in the world of CEREC has always been efficiency. I try to break down a CEREC appointment from the time a patient sits in our chair to the time they leave and find way to create systems along the way to deal with imaging, prep, design and delivery of those restorations.

One of the reasons I wanted to join Imagen was to build the community through education and camaraderie.  I truly feel like this 3 day course delivers on exactly that.  One of the things I love about this class is we get to hold it at my home base of the Dentsply Sirona HQ in Charlotte.  We have the latest equipment at our disposal.  We also get the venue to ourselves so we actually get to spend 3 full days in the lab.  We start of with about an hour of lecture on optimal prep design for CEREC and how to achieve that in a time efficient manner.  We will then spend time on scanning, which i feel is a true pain point for many people.  I have an absolute system to scan efficiently and not image things like that cheek and tongue which cause so many issues for us when trying to get the best proposals.

I always say, the goal is for you to understand the why behind everything I teach.  We will do live scanning on each other to practice the techniques I demonstrate to you.  We then spend the next 2.5 days in the lab doing case after case after case.  We will design single unit posterior and anterior crowns as well as partial coverage restorations and how to use the virtual articulator to dial in occlusion to minimize post op sensitivity.  We will learn how to design quadrants, bridges and even maryland bridges,  We will learn how to use all the design options such as bio individual, bio copy and copy and mirror and when to use each.   We teach a system so you have a GPS to get you through design for a single unit in 5-7 minutes.  We will teach you the important tools to focus on to use for each design step so you are designing with purpose.  We will also spend about an hour on day 3 to walk you through the material categories and how to treat each material for optimal success with them,  We will also go over the art of bonding in a restoration and tips for that important step.

What I have really enjoyed above and beyond the education and teaching with my close friends is getting to know our doctors over that 3 day period.  We eat breakfast and lunch together at the event and do dinners together at night.  I have so much enjoyed watching bonds being formed and friendships created over the 3 days.  There is just something special about taking a course with all your partner and future partner docs.  I am very proud of what we are building in regards to education for our company.  I’m honored to be asked, along with our unbelievably talented group of educators, to help improve your everyday dentistry and add to the bottom line of your practices.  If you have not taken the class, I highly recommend heading over to Education.Imagendentalpartners.com/events/ to register.  This is no beginner class, that I will promise you.  Even if you have been doing this for years, you will likely come away with some great pearls to make you even more efficient and be able to keep more cases in house.  I hope to see most, if not all of you over the next year or so at this course.  It is a great event for learning and getting to know your partners from around the country.  Look forward to seeing you soon
