Featured Courses

This workshop offers dentists a practical introduction to endodontics through step-by-step lectures and hands-on training. It covers diagnosis, access cavity preparation, working length determination, canal instrumentation, and obturation. Participants practice on simulated or extracted teeth under expert guidance, with emphasis on managing
common emergencies like pulpitis and abscesses. Attendees will gain
confidence in evaluating tooth pain, distinguishing endo-related issues,
and knowing when root canal therapy is needed—all in a supportive, hands-on learning environment.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Diagnose and manage common endodontic conditions and emergencies.
  2. Perform proper access cavity preparation on anterior and posterior teeth, creating an ideal entry to the pulp chamber that allows straight-line access to
    canals while preserving tooth structure.
  3. Determine working length accurately using radiographs and electronic apex locators, so that
canal instrumentation and obturation can be confined to the correct length.
  4. Use effective instrumentation techniques for root canal cleaning and shaping with both manual and
    rotary tools.
  5. Obturate root canals to achieve a complete seal using appropriate materials and techniques.

This session provides a review of diagnostic radiology focusing on image
interpretation, and integration into clinical decision-making. Participants
will explore common radiologic findings across body systems, recognize imaging patterns associated with urgent and emergent conditions, and gain confidence in communicating radiology results. Emphasis will be placed
on reducing diagnostic error, understanding the role of AI and applying imaging appropriateness criteria to enhance patient outcomes.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Identify key radiographic features of common and critical pathologies across various imaging modalities
    (e.g., X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound).
  2. Evaluate the appropriate use of imaging studies based on clinical presentation and evidencebased
    guidelines.
  3. Interpret imaging findings with improved accuracy,
using a systematic approach to minimize diagnostic errors.
  4. Apply radiology reports and imaging insights effectively in patient management and
    interdisciplinary collaboration.
  5. Describe current trends and innovations in diagnostic radiology, including the role of artificial intelligence, structured reporting, and teleradiology..
